{"id":47753,"date":"2023-03-24T09:59:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-24T09:59:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/singer-saidi-brazza-passes-on\/"},"modified":"2023-03-24T10:02:41","modified_gmt":"2023-03-24T10:02:41","slug":"singer-saidi-brazza-passes-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/singer-saidi-brazza-passes-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Singer Saidi Brazza passes on"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>He died in the morning of Friday 24th March 2023.  <\/p>\n<p>His death has been confirmed to IGIHE by Michou Miracle, an entertainment news journalist in Burundi. <\/p>\n<p>Saidi Brazza was among the youth who were taken to the Iwawa Rehabilitation Center in 2016. <\/p>\n<p>The facility is located on Iwawa Island of Kivu Lake in Boneza Sector, Rutsiro District, Western Province, and was established in 2010 to rehabilitate male delinquents over 18 years old who exhibit deviant behaviors. <\/p>\n<p>The Iwawa Rehabilitation Center is one of three rehabilitation centers of the National Rehabilitation Service. Its main mission is to equip male delinquents from across the country with vocational and hands-on skills that help them stop drug consumption or any other deviant behavior, integrate into the community, and participate in the socio-economic and political development of Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>Saidi Brazza was born in Huye District, Southern Province, Rwanda. His family fled to Burundi in 1959, where both of his parents died. He gained popularity for his hit songs including \u2018Yameze amenyo\u2019, \u2018Twiganirira\u2019 and \u2018Kugazaka\u2019 among others.
