{"id":47439,"date":"2023-01-26T13:17:25","date_gmt":"2023-01-26T13:17:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/egypt-unearths-ancient-family-tombs-in-luxor\/"},"modified":"2023-01-26T13:24:07","modified_gmt":"2023-01-26T13:24:07","slug":"egypt-unearths-ancient-family-tombs-in-luxor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/egypt-unearths-ancient-family-tombs-in-luxor\/","title":{"rendered":"Egypt unearths ancient family tombs in Luxor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;The tombs are built on a 50 meter by 70 meter area that includes 30 burial wells,&#8221; it said.<\/p>\n<p>A 10-ton pink granite coffin for a minister of king Sobekhotep II, from the 13th dynasty of the second intermediate period, was found in one of the wells.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral drawings that are decorated with images of another official presenting sacrifices for the same king were found in the site.<\/p>\n<p>The mission also unearthed a building made of mud bricks that were used for presenting sacrifices.
