{"id":47434,"date":"2023-01-26T07:19:25","date_gmt":"2023-01-26T07:19:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kagame-receives-imf-managing-director-kristalina-georgieva\/"},"modified":"2023-01-27T10:35:22","modified_gmt":"2023-01-27T10:35:22","slug":"kagame-receives-imf-managing-director-kristalina-georgieva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kagame-receives-imf-managing-director-kristalina-georgieva\/","title":{"rendered":"Kagame receives IMF Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The visit is aimed at discussing partnerships between African countries and IMF which launched the Resilience and Sustainability Trust (RST) last year to help low-income and vulnerable middle-income IMF members address longer-term structural challenges such as climate change with longer-term, low-cost financing. <\/p>\n<p>The RST started working with three countries including Barbados, Costa Rica and Rwanda.  <\/p>\n<p>As one of the pilot countries of the RST, Rwanda will access US$319 million to support climate change initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>After receiving Kristalina on Wednesday, President Kagame commended him for her visit to Rwanda and IMF\u2019s support to enhance climate change response in Rwanda. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you Kristalina Georgieva for your visit and for the innovative IMF Resilience and Sustainability Trust.
