{"id":47357,"date":"2023-01-11T10:36:23","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T10:36:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/heavy-rain-kills-seven-year-old-child-in-kayonza\/"},"modified":"2023-01-11T10:45:39","modified_gmt":"2023-01-11T10:45:39","slug":"heavy-rain-kills-seven-year-old-child-in-kayonza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/heavy-rain-kills-seven-year-old-child-in-kayonza\/","title":{"rendered":"Heavy rain kills seven year old child in Kayonza"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The deceased was a learner in Primary 1.  <\/p>\n<p>The executive secretary of Murundi Sector, Benon Gashayija has told IGIHE that the child was washed away trying to pick a shoe that was lost in a waterway.   <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter yesterday\u2019s heavy rain stopped, a child returning home from school was washed away trying to retrieve his shoe that fell in a waterway as he crossed at a bridge,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Gashayija disclosed that his colleague returned to school and informed teachers and members of the administration.
