The incident happened on Thursday 5th January 2023 as he used a treadmill at a fitness facility known as Up Town Gym located in a house known as Kwa Mudjomba in Musanze town. <\/p>\n
A treadmill is a device used for exercise, consisting of a continuous moving belt on which to walk or run. <\/p>\n
After collapsing, people in the fitness room rushed him to a nearby health facility but died along the way. <\/p>\n
His burial is scheduled on Saturday 7th January 2023. <\/p>\n
Police Spokesperson in Northern Province, SP Alex Ndayisenga has told the media that the incident resulted from high speed of the treadmill. <\/p>\n
SP Ndayisenga urged sports enthusiasts to be vigilant and get trained on the proper use of fitness machines to avoid possible accidents. <\/p>\n
