Ndayishimiye made the disclosure during a recent exclusive interview with RFI and France 24.<\/p>\n
The President makes the statement at a time when EAC countries are sending troops to fight armed groups in DRC. <\/p>\n
Ndayishimiye explained that efforts to restore peace in eastern DRC are underway as concerned countries agree to hold dialogues. <\/p>\n
\u201cAccepting to sit together is a good progress. I am convinced that there is a significant step forward,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
Ndayishimiye also said that he has not yet identified the accuracy of DRC\u2019s accusations against Rwanda. <\/p>\n
\u201cSo far, we have not yet found any evidence, on behalf of the region and myself. However, we plan to have a consultation meeting with the mediator on this conflict [Angolan President Joao Louren\u00e7o]. We will have an opportunity to analyze the situation and establish the truth,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
Ndayishimiye revealed that his country will send many battalions to DRC where some troops have been already deployed under the joint regional efforts. <\/p>\n
