{"id":46905,"date":"2022-10-25T08:48:19","date_gmt":"2022-10-25T08:48:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kayonza-76-year-old-woman-stabbed-to-death-suspect-on-the-run\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T09:07:46","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T09:07:46","slug":"kayonza-76-year-old-woman-stabbed-to-death-suspect-on-the-run","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kayonza-76-year-old-woman-stabbed-to-death-suspect-on-the-run\/","title":{"rendered":"Kayonza: 76-year old woman stabbed to death, suspect on the run"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The incident happened in the night of Sunday leading to Monday in Rugunga Village, Gihinga Cell of Rwinkwavu Sector, Kayonza District in Eastern Province.   <\/p>\n<p>The Executive Secretary of Rwinkwavu Sector, Claude Murekezi has told IGIHE that the old woman who lived alone was found dead at his home stabbed on the neck. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is apparent that someone went to her home and stabbed her to death. The suspect who stabbed her on the neck is on the run. Rwanda Investigation Bureau and other security officials have visited the crime scene and launched investigation. The knife used to stab her was also found at home,\u201d he said.  <\/p>\n<p>Murekezi has advised residents against self-administered justice for people in conflicts and reminded them to seek assistance. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe strongly condemn such cruelty. Residents should seek assistance from leaders instead of committing such crimes.
