{"id":46291,"date":"2022-08-04T10:33:24","date_gmt":"2022-08-04T10:33:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kigali-city-explains-delays-in-construction-of-nyabugogo-bridge\/"},"modified":"2023-02-28T14:34:14","modified_gmt":"2023-02-28T14:34:14","slug":"kigali-city-explains-delays-in-construction-of-nyabugogo-bridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kigali-city-explains-delays-in-construction-of-nyabugogo-bridge\/","title":{"rendered":"Kigali City explains delays in construction of Nyabugogo Bridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As construction of the bridge began in April this year, passengers and traders with businesses in the surroundings welcomed the infrastructure that was expected to contain floods and accidents occasioned by Mpazi drainage channel overflow.  <\/p>\n<p>The bridge was expected to be operational by June this year but has not yet been inaugurated. <\/p>\n<p>Kigali City Engineer, Emmanuel Asaba Katabarwa has said that the duration of construction activities was extended due to different considerations including the great relevance attached to the project and the extent at which it would affected by floods.     <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a project that requires due diligence to be executed smoothly. The duration was extended but we are glad that fruits of our efforts are coming out.
