{"id":45940,"date":"2022-06-06T06:47:33","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T06:47:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/head-of-uganda-s-chieftaincy-of-military-intelligence-in-rwanda-for-four-day\/"},"modified":"2022-06-08T08:17:56","modified_gmt":"2022-06-08T08:17:56","slug":"head-of-uganda-s-chieftaincy-of-military-intelligence-in-rwanda-for-four-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/head-of-uganda-s-chieftaincy-of-military-intelligence-in-rwanda-for-four-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Head of Uganda\u2019s Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence in Rwanda for four-day visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Spokesperson of RDF, Colonel Ronald Rwivanga has told IGIHE that Maj Gen James Birungi and his delegation have come to Rwanda for four-day visit.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have come for a visit aimed at deepening cooperation with regards to intelligence sharing,\u201d he said.   <\/p>\n<p>Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations and Commander of Land Forces of the Uganda People\u2019s Defence Forces (UPDF) has also commended Rwanda for extending a warm welcome to the visiting delegation.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thank Afande Kagame, General Nyakarundi and our brothers in RDF for warmly welcoming our CMI to Kigali. God bless Uganda and Rwanda,\u201d he tweeted.  <\/p>\n<p>Lt Gen Muhoozi recently commended the role both countries\u2019 military intelligence in restoring bilateral relations to normal.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thank the two Generals, General Birungi and General Nyakarundi (both Chiefs of Military Intelligence) in leading the way in normalising our relationships.
