{"id":45771,"date":"2022-05-06T05:26:24","date_gmt":"2022-05-06T05:26:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/bamporiki-arrested-over-alleged-corruption\/"},"modified":"2022-05-10T07:32:48","modified_gmt":"2022-05-10T07:32:48","slug":"bamporiki-arrested-over-alleged-corruption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/bamporiki-arrested-over-alleged-corruption\/","title":{"rendered":"Bamporiki arrested over alleged corruption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cBamporiki Edouard who was the State Minister in the Ministry of Youth and Culture is under house arrest, being investigated for serious cases of corruption,\u201d RIB has revealed via Twitter handle.  <\/p>\n<p>The arrest follows his suspension through a statement released by the Office of Prime Minister indicating that the decision is owing to matters of accountability under investigation.  <\/p>\n<p>The Spokesperson of Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), Dr. Murangira B. Thierry, has told IGIHE that the investigator handling his case has ordered him not to move beyond his home\u2019s premises. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring investigation, an investigator or prosecutor can issue orders to be respected by the suspect irrespective of tangible reasons for suspicion.
