{"id":45665,"date":"2022-04-18T09:19:18","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T09:19:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kagame-holds-talks-with-macky-sall-of-senegal\/"},"modified":"2022-04-20T07:10:24","modified_gmt":"2022-04-20T07:10:24","slug":"kagame-holds-talks-with-macky-sall-of-senegal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kagame-holds-talks-with-macky-sall-of-senegal\/","title":{"rendered":"Kagame holds talks with his counterpart of Senegal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kagame was last in Senegal in February 2022 as he attended the inauguration of Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Dakar.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of State stopped over in Senegal after concluding visits that began on 11th April 2022 to countries including Congo-Brazzaville, Jamaica and Barbados.<\/p>\n<p>Macky Sall received Kagame on the evening of 17th April 2022 at Yoff Airport.  <\/p>\n<p>Senegal Presidency has revealed via Twitter handle that both Heads of State discussed on cooperation between respective countries.  <\/p>\n<p>On a continental level, Rwanda and Senegal are spearheading efforts to boost local vaccine manufacturing capabilities in partnership with BioNTech, a renowned biotechnology company.<\/p>\n<p>Both countries were last year identified as potential regional vaccine manufacturing hubs in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The plants will be built in Kigali and Dakar in collaboration with BionTech and European Investment Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Senegal and Rwanda have had diplomatic relations for a number of years.
