Rwanda has made a decision to be a country free of corruption.\u201d Cyanzayire said.<\/p>\n<p>She added that Rwanda has set up institutions to fight against corruption- the Office of the Ombudsman, the Public Prosecutor of the Prosecutor and the Police&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Cyanzayire noted that fighting Corruption is not an easy task but is essential.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that corruption remains a pernicious evil that &#8220;undermines good governance and human rights.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Said Adejumobi, Director of Good Governance and Administration in the Office of UNECA in Addis Ababa, appreciates Rwanda&#8217;s commitment in the fight against corruption.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is for this reason that Rwanda has been recognized for his efforts and was named to celebrate the African Anti-Corruption Week. Rwanda has zero tolerance in Africa and in the world in terms of Anti-corruption, &#8220;he said.<\/p>\n<p>A message from the Secretary General of the UN, Ban Kimoun, on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, noted;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The cost of corruption is immense when measured in millions of U.S. $, schools, hospitals, and bridges that could change people&#8217;s lives.<br \/>\nCorruption is the cause of environmental hazards when it authorizes the illegal trade of animals, &#8220;the message said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that prevention against corruption is important in the rule of law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernments and citizens must play their part to succeed in creating a future where we are not exposed to corruption\u201d He added.<br \/>\nSaid Adejumobi exclaimed: &#8220;Rwanda is my home&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For since January 2013, all Africans come to Rwanda without visa. It is the dream of Pan-Africanism done.
