{"id":45485,"date":"2022-03-19T10:32:11","date_gmt":"2022-03-19T10:32:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/chadian-president-concludes-two-day-visit-to-rwanda\/"},"modified":"2022-03-21T09:49:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-21T09:49:23","slug":"chadian-president-concludes-two-day-visit-to-rwanda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/chadian-president-concludes-two-day-visit-to-rwanda\/","title":{"rendered":"Chadian President concludes two-day visit to Rwanda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gen Mahamat arrived in Rwanda on Friday 18th March 2022 where he was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Vincent Biruta at Kigali International Airport. <\/p>\n<p>On the first day of his visit, he also held a t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate with with President Paul Kagame and visited Kigali Genocide Memorial.  <\/p>\n<p>After holding t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate with the visiting Head of State, Kagame said that it the right time to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest.  <\/p>\n<p>He also assured Gen Mahamat of much closer collaboration along his country&#8217;s development journey to deal with effects of COVID-19 and instability. .  <\/p>\n<p>The visiting President, Gen Mahamat thanked Rwanda for being close to Chad during difficult times, particularly offensives of Boko Haram and tragic moments in April last year when his father died on the frontline.  <\/p>\n<p>Gen Mahamat also congratulated President Kagame for his leadership as a Panafrican and his leadership in leading African Union reforms through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfTCA) and facilitating Africans to come to Rwanda without Visa.
