Charles Ntivuguruzwa allegedly forced himself on the nine-year old girl \u2013 name withheld \u2013 at about 7:00pm as the later returned home from school.<\/p>\n
The suspect is detained at Busasamana Police Station. The victim was taken to Nyanza hospital for medical examination.<\/p>\n
It is said that as the victim returned home, Ntivuguruzwa, who is a shoe repairer in Mugandamure trading centre, followed her and defiled her from the nearby bush.<\/p>\n
Police in Nyanza said the suspect, who previously had a clean criminal record, was arrested by area residents who caught him in the act and handed him to police. <\/p>\n
The police spokesperson in the southern region Supt. Hubert Gashagaza condemned strongly such a crime, stating that all people must work together to act in a way to refrain such a scourge. <\/p>\n
