{"id":44960,"date":"2021-12-10T07:27:41","date_gmt":"2021-12-10T07:27:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/uganda-evicts-26-more-rwandans\/"},"modified":"2021-12-11T07:55:28","modified_gmt":"2021-12-11T07:55:28","slug":"uganda-evicts-26-more-rwandans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/uganda-evicts-26-more-rwandans\/","title":{"rendered":"Uganda evicts 26 more Rwandans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The deportees who arrived on 9th December 2021 through Kagitumba border in Nyagatare district were tested for COVID-19 and received emergency assistance upon arrival.  <\/p>\n<p>On Monday 6th December 2021, Uganda expelled 35 more Rwandans who arrived through the same border.  <\/p>\n<p>The recent deportation follows series of circumstances under which Uganda has been expelling Rwandans after enduring torture in its detention facilities accusing them of being spies yet they had traveled to the country to run businesses or visit relatives among other reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Rwanda, Uganda relations worsened since 2017.
