{"id":44801,"date":"2021-11-12T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-12T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/jambojet-puts-on-hold-plan-to-resume-direct-flights-to-kigali\/"},"modified":"2021-11-12T11:52:06","modified_gmt":"2021-11-12T11:52:06","slug":"jambojet-puts-on-hold-plan-to-resume-direct-flights-to-kigali","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/jambojet-puts-on-hold-plan-to-resume-direct-flights-to-kigali\/","title":{"rendered":"Jambojet puts on hold plan to resume direct flights to Kigali"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jambojet Managing Director, Ndegwa Karanja has said that with the stringent Covid-19 travel regulations in the two countries, the carrier does not plan to resume flights in those destinations soon as demand for air travel has also dropped.<\/p>\n<p>Uganda demands all passengers going to Entebbe to take a second PCR test upon arrival, regardless of vaccination status except children under six years and airline crew.<\/p>\n<p>Tests cost $30 (Sh3, 352) and are conducted at the airport, implying that travellers will have to incur additional costs to enter the country.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Business Daily , Ndegwa said: \u201cWe may not want to go in markets full of travel restrictions such as Entebbe and Rwanda any time soon.
