Amazing work by the Environment Authority for conservation of nature at the marshland,\u201c reads part of the ambassador\u2019s message posted on Twitter.   <\/p>\n<p>Completed recently, the park worth Rwf5.2 billion is located in the sectors of Ndera in Gasabo district and Nyarugunga in Kicukiro district. <\/p>\n<p>The project was designed in 2015 and works started in 2016. The goal was for the works to be done in two phases with a completion date in 2020 but there were delays because of redesigning the project and change of the contractor.<\/p>\n<p>It was sponsored by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Government of Italy, Rwanda Green Fund (FONERWA) and implemented by REMA.<\/p>\n<p>Nyandungu Urban Wetland Eco-Tourism Park is composed of ornamental ponds, gallery forests, medicinal plant gardens, paved walk ways and cycle lanes, restaurants, information center, recreational and other biodiversity services.
