{"id":43908,"date":"2021-07-14T20:56:49","date_gmt":"2021-07-14T20:56:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kigali-city-eight-districts-placed-under-lockdown\/"},"modified":"2021-07-16T04:57:12","modified_gmt":"2021-07-16T04:57:12","slug":"kigali-city-eight-districts-placed-under-lockdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kigali-city-eight-districts-placed-under-lockdown\/","title":{"rendered":"Kigali city, eight districts placed under lockdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The resolution is part of stringent measures taken by the virtual cabinet meeting held on Wednesday 14th July 2021 to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic which has been on steady rise. <\/p>\n<p>The communiqu\u00e9 released by the Office of Prime Minister shows that imposed lockdown will start from 17th until 26th July 2021. <\/p>\n<p>The eight districts concerned with the resolution include Burera, Gicumbi, Kamonyi, Musanze, Nyagatare, Rubavu, Rwamagana and Rutsiro.<\/p>\n<p>Citizens have been urged to reduce social interactions and limit movements only to essential services. <\/p>\n<p>Among others; movements and visits outside home are not permitted except for essential services such as healthcare, food shopping, banking and for personnel performing such services. <\/p>\n<p>Outdoor sports and recreational activities are prohibited.  <\/p>\n<p>Public transport is prohibited; however,  transportation of personnel carrying out the above mentioned activities will continue to function.
