{{The Ministry of Youth and ICT (MYICT) in conjunction with the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF) launched new fund to boost women and youth entrepreneurs.}}<\/p>\n
The fund was launched in Nyaruguru District on Wednesday, November 29, 2012; it aims at empowering women and youth to overcome poverty by helping them increase their access to finance to start income generating activities.<\/p>\n
Jean Philbert Nsengimana, the Minister of Youth and ICT, urges Youth and Women to save so that they can get a small capital to start their own projects generating revenues.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cLet us embrace the culture of saving; that\u2019s how all developed countries look after to be advanced\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion, Julienne Munyaneza requested women to use well the loan they\u2019ll get and gain more.<\/p>\n
Vestine Kamaliza, a resident in Nyaruguru district commends SACCO for providing her with a loan to start tailoring business.<\/p>\n
\u2018Women and Youth Access to Finance\u2019 program will first work in six districts; Nyaruguru, Nyamagabe, Gisagara, Nyamasheke, Karongi and Ruhango before it is rolled out countrywide. <\/p>\n
The fund was shaped by MYICT, MIGEPROF, Business Development Fund (BDF) and the Rwanda Cooperative Agency (RCA).<\/p>\n
