{"id":43757,"date":"2021-06-21T15:02:43","date_gmt":"2021-06-21T15:02:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/ange-kagame-shares-parenting-tips-on-developing-children-s-brain\/"},"modified":"2021-06-24T06:57:39","modified_gmt":"2021-06-24T06:57:39","slug":"ange-kagame-shares-parenting-tips-on-developing-children-s-brain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/ange-kagame-shares-parenting-tips-on-developing-children-s-brain\/","title":{"rendered":"Ange Kagame shares parenting tips on developing children\u2019s brain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The month-long campaign was launched on 1 June 2021, by the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion, the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) Rwanda, and other partners to promote positive parenting.<\/p>\n<p>In the video released today by UNICEF Rwanda; Ange Kagame, the daughter of President Paul Kagame talked about how a baby\u2019s brain develops most in the first 1,000 days at a pace never repeated again. <\/p>\n<p>The mother of one also highlighted the role of both parents, male and female in the overall development of their baby.<\/p>\n<p>In the earliest years of life, a child\u2019s brain develops at an astounding speed of more than 1 million new neural connections every second. <\/p>\n<p>This period offers once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape a child\u2019s ability to learn, grow, form healthy relationships, and contribute fully to society in adulthood.<\/p>\n<p>Parents are the key providers of health, nutrition, stimulation, opportunities for early learning, and protection that babies need for healthy brain development.
