{"id":43572,"date":"2021-05-24T10:03:25","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T10:03:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kamonyi-52-schools-receive-laptops-to-improve-quality-of-education\/"},"modified":"2021-05-24T11:32:53","modified_gmt":"2021-05-24T11:32:53","slug":"kamonyi-52-schools-receive-laptops-to-improve-quality-of-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kamonyi-52-schools-receive-laptops-to-improve-quality-of-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Kamonyi: 52 schools receive laptops to improve quality of education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>These laptops were donated on Wednesday 19th May 2021 through partnership between Mastercard Foundation, Belgium, VVOB, Enabel and Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB).  <\/p>\n<p>VVOB \u2013 education for development is an international non-profit organisation with over 35 years of experience in quality education.<\/p>\n<p>Under this partnership, over 3000 laptops will have been donated to approximately 1900 schools across all districts countrywide by the end of May 2021.  <\/p>\n<p>Representatives from schools that received laptops expressed delight for the donations expected to improve performance.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are set to improve efficiency particularly in course preparations and streamline reporting system,\u201d said Ntirigurirwa Protog\u00e8ne, the head teacher of Groupe Scolaire St. Emmanuel Bugoba located in Rukoma sector in kamonyi district.  <\/p>\n<p>Mukagatete Fran\u00e7oise, the vice Dean of Studies at Groupe Scolaire Kabere from Kayumbu sector also explained that received laptops will help her to carry out her work smoothly.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used to borrow laptop to perform particular activities. However, this would delay my work in case the owner was using it. With these laptops, the situation will improve for good and I am optimistic to deliver on expectations,\u201d he said.     <\/p>\n<p>Others revealed that received laptops will advance quality education as teachers will no longer have barriers to attend virtual training and access online didactic materials.  <\/p>\n<p>The education officer in Kamonyi district, Kayijuka Diog\u00e8ne thanked the Government of Rwanda for expended efforts and support facilitating schools to embrace technology.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese laptops will facilitate online learning and communication between teachers and heads of schools, which is a crucial aspect towards achieving quality education.
