{"id":43567,"date":"2021-05-23T07:33:59","date_gmt":"2021-05-23T07:33:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/congolese-return-home-following-nyiragongo-s-eruption\/"},"modified":"2021-05-26T06:54:28","modified_gmt":"2021-05-26T06:54:28","slug":"congolese-return-home-following-nyiragongo-s-eruption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/congolese-return-home-following-nyiragongo-s-eruption\/","title":{"rendered":"Nyiragongo\u2019s eruption:  Congolese nationals return home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congolese nationals are returning home after mixed assessments on the threat by officials and experts revealing that the lava flowing speed has reduced.  <\/p>\n<p>Returnees estimated between 8,000 to 10,000 fled to Rwanda last night through La Corniche and Petite Barri\u00e8re borders among other entry points in respective sectors of Rubavu district, Cyanzarwe and Bugeshi.<\/p>\n<p>Congolese nationals that crossed through Rubavu town were accommodated at Umuganda Stadium where they received beddings, water and food donated by Red Cross Rwanda while those who fled to other sectors were accommodated and fed by residents.  <\/p>\n<p>As he returned home, Sibomana Cyprien who spent night at Umuganda Stadium thanked Rwanda for treating them humanely.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNyiragongo eruption improvised us that we rushed to flee to Rwanda.
