Uwizeye, a resident of Nzige sector, Murama cell, killed his wife, Media Uwineza 26, on November 27, using a machete.<\/p>\n
The suspect is now detained at Kigabiro Police Station.<\/p>\n
Eyewitnesses said the motive of the crime was family conflicts.<\/p>\n
At the time he allegedly committed the criminal offence, Uwizeye is said to have been under the influence of alcohol.<\/p>\n
The deceased is also said to have been accusing the husband of neglecting his family duties and instead spending most of his time drinking.<\/p>\n
Police Spokesperson, Eastern Region, Superintendent Benoit Nsengiyumva condemned the criminal act.<\/p>\n
He urged Rwandans to always report domestic conflicts to security organs on time to prevent such inhuman acts.<\/p>\n
