{"id":43402,"date":"2021-04-28T07:51:11","date_gmt":"2021-04-28T07:51:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/global-youth-issue-joint-statement-on-myanmar-s-human-rights-crisis\/"},"modified":"2021-04-28T07:51:45","modified_gmt":"2021-04-28T07:51:45","slug":"global-youth-issue-joint-statement-on-myanmar-s-human-rights-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/global-youth-issue-joint-statement-on-myanmar-s-human-rights-crisis\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Youth Issue Joint Statement on Myanmar\u2019s Human Rights Crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cWe urge the head of state of each country and the international community to actively pursue peaceful measures to safeguard the lives of Myanmar\u2019s citizens.\u201d It added, \u201cWe urge people and media worldwide to raise their voices in support of finding peaceful resolutions to the current crisis,\u201d reads the statement in part.  <\/p>\n<p> The statement highlighted the global youth\u2019s \u2018commitment to work toward ceasing conflicts, countering violence and establishing sustainable peace through the 2018\u2019s UN Youth Declaration\u2019.<\/p>\n<p> Mr. Mainza M Hiyamwa, Chairperson of Chosen Generation Youth Club Solwezi (CGYC) of Zambia, said, \u201cThe UN and international society are being the main pillars of peace and security, human rights, and development. It&#8217;s more vital that we gain access and disseminate information on the range of issues affecting the people of Myanmar. By so doing it would carry more impact and help in the restoration of peace, human rights promotion, and development of the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Facing the current deadlock of counteractions against the humanitarian crisis from the deaths and injuries continually occurring in Myanmar, this global movement by youth organizations has been led by the International Peace Youth Group, an affiliated organization of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light registered in the UN ECOSOC. <\/p>\n<p> This joint statement was sent to the UN Secretary General, international organizations, governments and civil society organizations.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-38354 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/mr._mainza_m_hiyamwa_chairperson_of_chosen_generation_youth_club_solwezi_cgyc_of_zambia_2_1_.jpg\" alt=\"Mr. Mainza M Hiyamwa, Chairperson of Chosen Generation Youth Club Solwezi (CGYC) in Zambia. \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-38355 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/joint_statement_of_world_s_civil_society_and_youth_on_myanmar_s_human_rights_crisis.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{ 249 youth organizations with 1.7 million members from 65 countries have combined efforts in a joint statement advocating for peaceful solutions to the human rights crisis in Myanmar.
