{"id":43198,"date":"2021-03-30T10:54:59","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T10:54:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/i-m-bank-nets-rwf-5-1-billion-in-2020\/"},"modified":"2021-03-30T10:56:03","modified_gmt":"2021-03-30T10:56:03","slug":"i-m-bank-nets-rwf-5-1-billion-in-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/i-m-bank-nets-rwf-5-1-billion-in-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"I&#038;M Bank nets Rwf 5.1 billion in 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The profit was driven by maintained good service delivery and investment in digital channels.  <\/p>\n<p>The bank registered a pre-tax profit of Rwf7.8 billion with the loan book portfolio growing by 19 per cent Year on Year to Rwf205 billion in December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The bank\u2019s assets closed at Rwf417 billion with shareholders\u2019 funds of Rwf54 billion, a 31 % growth and 27 per cent growth respectively. Deposits also increased significantly, reinforcing the strength of the bank\u2019s funding and liquidity positions.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the development; the CEO of I&#038;M Bank Robin Bairstow said:  \u201cWhile the pandemic brought up several headwinds, the Bank\u2019s results are satisfactory and evidence that our considerable efforts to focus on strengthening our core business and bolstering of our digital capabilities will continue to pay off over the longer term.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHelping our customers emerge in a sustainable position was our most pressing priority.
