{{Rwanda Minister of Natural Resources Stanislas Kamanzi has urged residents of Nyabihu District to actively participate in the restoration of the region\u2019s degraded soil, water, land and forest resources.}}<\/p>\n
Kamanzi made the remarks, November 24, shortly after a massive plantation of agro-forestry species on the hills surrounding Lake Karago.<\/p>\n
The afforestation activities are in line with landscape restoration program.
\nNyabihu has been facing various challenges including soil erosion, landslides and some incidences where disasters claimed lives of innocents.<\/p>\n
Rwanda has since embarked on different measures to tackle those effects through the protection of the environment, including forest and wetlands restoration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
