{"id":42919,"date":"2021-02-20T08:39:24","date_gmt":"2021-02-20T08:39:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/all-schools-resume-curfew-hours-eased-back-religious-and-civil-weddings-allowed\/"},"modified":"2021-02-23T09:14:39","modified_gmt":"2021-02-23T09:14:39","slug":"all-schools-resume-curfew-hours-eased-back-religious-and-civil-weddings-allowed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/all-schools-resume-curfew-hours-eased-back-religious-and-civil-weddings-allowed\/","title":{"rendered":"All schools resume, curfew hours eased back, religious and civil weddings allowed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame was held virtually. <\/p>\n<p>Curfew hours have been eased back where movements have been prohibited from 8pm to 4am against the previous measures restricting movements from 7pm to 4am.<br \/>\nHours to close business operations have shifted from 5pm to 6pm.   <\/p>\n<p>The cabinet meeting has also allowed all schools (public and private to reopen). <\/p>\n<p>Schools in Kigali city were closed on 18th January 2021.  <\/p>\n<p>Religious, civil weddings have been allowed and must not exceed 20 persons. Receptions are also prohibited.  <\/p>\n<p>Movements between Kigali, other provinces and districts are still prohibited except for essential services, medical reasons or tourism.   <\/p>\n<p>Among others, private businesses shall continue to operate at no more than 30% of staff capacity while other employees continue working from home on rotational basis.  Markets and malls shall continue for essential vendors and must not exceed 50% of registered traders.  <\/p>\n<p>Public transport (buses) should not exceed 75% capacity. Motorcycles and bicycles are also allowed to carry passengers and must observe strict hygiene.   <\/p>\n<p>Restaurants and caf\u00e9s shall resume with 30% occupancy limit and shall receive clients until 6pm.  All bars will remain closed while places of worship will resume with no more than 30% maximum occupancy. <\/p>\n<p>Gaming activities and physical meetings remain prohibited while individual and non-contact outdoor sports activities are permitted.  <\/p>\n<p>Attendance at a wake\/vigil (ikiriyo) should not exceed 10 persons at any time, funeral gatherings should not exceed 20 persons.<\/p>\n<p>These measures will take effect nationwide starting February 23rd to March 15th 2021.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{The cabinet meeting held yesterday took new COVID-19 preventive measures that saw curfew and business operation hours eased back.
