Rwanda, Ivory Coast have been enjoying cordial relations. <\/p>\n
In 2018, President Ouatarra visited Rwanda as he attended a three-day \u2018Mo Ibrahim Governance\u2019 summit.<\/p>\n
At the time, he held talks with Kagame, visited Kigali genocide memorial and expressed condolences to Rwandans. <\/p>\n
In December 2018, President Kagame along with First Lady, Jeannette Kagame also held a two-day state visit to Ivory Coast where they received.<\/p>\n
Kagame\u2019s visit aimed at further strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
During the first day of the visit, Kagame held talks with his Ivorian counterpart followed by a bilateral meeting and signing of agreements.<\/p>\n
The deals signed include an agreement on the exemption from visa requirement, an MoU on the organisation of the Joint Commission for Cooperation and one on political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries.<\/p>\n
The other deal signed was the protocol of Cooperation for the modernisation of the public administration.<\/p>\n
During the visit, a State Banquet was organized in honour of President Kagame and the First Lady. President Kagame was awarded the Grand-Croix de l\u2019Ordre National de C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire and Grade de Commandeur de l\u2019Ordre National de C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire respectively.<\/p>\n
