In a press conference on November 16, the Minister of Education, Dr. Uwamariya Valentine, assured that by the end of this month they will have received their salaries and arrears.<\/p>\n
“It is normally the district offices that prepare teachers’ salaries; we came to notice that they do not add the 10 % that was agreed upon. Now that we know about this, from this month onward the amount will be added to their salaries including arrears.<\/p>\n
The Cabinet meeting held on Monday, January 28, 2019, decided to increase the salaries of primary and secondary school teachers.<\/p>\n
