{"id":42195,"date":"2020-10-28T17:51:47","date_gmt":"2020-10-28T17:51:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/cabinet-raises-number-of-worshippers-weddings-and-funeral-celebrants\/"},"modified":"2020-11-02T09:19:39","modified_gmt":"2020-11-02T09:19:39","slug":"cabinet-raises-number-of-worshippers-weddings-and-funeral-celebrants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/cabinet-raises-number-of-worshippers-weddings-and-funeral-celebrants\/","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet raises number of worshippers, weddings and funeral celebrants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The decision was taken on Tuesday, October 27, as the cabinet decided that the measures intended to contain the spread of COVID-19 remain as they were reviewed until October 12 except for few changes.<\/p>\n<p> The cabinet decided that \u201cservices at places of worship will increase to 50% of venue capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on, in a church of 3000 sitting capacity, some 250 people would be allowed in a single service. There was also a space of 2 hours between services to allow sanitizing.<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet increased the number of those to participate in wedding ceremonies to 75 people up from 30 people. The cabinet further said that COVID-19 tests will not be required with wedding receptions including fewer than 75 guests.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, funeral services \u201cshould not exceed 75 people\u201d, which is also another improvement compared to a maximum of 30 people initially.<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet increased the number of civil services in offices from the initial 30% of offices capacity to 50% meaning that they will continue to work on rotational basis; these are joining the private sector offices who have been allowed to operate to this capacity for a couple of months now.<\/p>\n<p>It was also decided that gaming operators will resume gradually upon fulfilling COVID-19 prevention requirements and inspection to be conducted by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.<\/p>\n<p>On these measures that are expected to be reviewed after 15 days, the cabinet made a reminder to the general public to continue to observe COVID-19 measures including wearing a face mask, keeping social distance, and washing hands regularly.<\/p>\n<p>In other decisions that are not related to COVID-19, three advisors were appointed and they include; Uwonkunda Claudette, advisor to the Speaker of Parliament, Bideri Ntagozera Rina-advisor to the Minister of Trade and Industry and Wanyana Denise-Advisor to the Minister of State in charge of Primary Health Care in the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet meeting approved the Presidential order establishing the Rwanda Atomic Energy Board and Prime Minister order determining responsibilities of the national civil aviation security committee, its members, and functioning.<\/p>\n<p>Also approved was a Prime Minister order determining responsibilities of the airport security committee, its members and functioning.<\/p>\n<p>A ministerial order relating to the appeal committee in Civil Aviation was also approved, together with Ministerial order on court fees in civil, commercial, labor administrative and criminal matters.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-37046 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/v-12-2-c7426.jpg\" alt=\"The cabinet has allowed places of worship to increase the number of people to attend worship places, weddings and funerals.\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame has allowed places of worship to increase the number of people to attend worship places, weddings and funerals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":62,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[72],"byline":[2942],"hashtag":[],"class_list":["post-42195","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","tag-featured-news-home","byline-nicole-kamanzi-m"],"bylines":[{"id":2942,"name":"Nicole Kamanzi M.","slug":"nicole-kamanzi-m","description":"","image":{"id":0,"url":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/?s=96&d=mm&f=y&r=g","alt":"Default avatar","title":"Default avatar","caption":"","mime_type":"image\/jpeg","sizes":[]},"user_id":null}],"contributors":[{"id":2942,"name":"Nicole Kamanzi M.","slug":"nicole-kamanzi-m","description":"","image":{"id":0,"url":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/?s=96&d=mm&f=y&r=g","alt":"Default avatar","title":"Default avatar","caption":"","mime_type":"image\/jpeg","sizes":[]},"user_id":null}],"featured_image":null,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/42195","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/62"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=42195"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/42195\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=42195"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=42195"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=42195"},{"taxonomy":"byline","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/byline?post=42195"},{"taxonomy":"hashtag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/hashtag?post=42195"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
