{"id":41908,"date":"2020-08-24T13:47:56","date_gmt":"2020-08-24T13:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kigali-markets-strengthen-observation-of-covid-19-prevention-guidelines\/"},"modified":"2020-08-26T18:40:15","modified_gmt":"2020-08-26T18:40:15","slug":"kigali-markets-strengthen-observation-of-covid-19-prevention-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kigali-markets-strengthen-observation-of-covid-19-prevention-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"Kigali markets strengthen observation of COVID-19 prevention guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When the markets were closed on August 16, the Minister of Health, Dr. Ngamije Daniel, said the analysis showed that there was a delay in following Coronavirus prevention guidelines, where in some markets people don\u2019t wear masks, others misbehave and do not wash hands properly.<\/p>\n<p>He said that in July it became clear that there was a problem in the markets as many guidelines were flouted.<\/p>\n<p>To establish how other markets are implementing the Covid-19 prevention-guidelines, IGIHE visited Kicukiro and Kimironko Markets this week.<\/p>\n<p>Before one enters any of the two markets, one must first wash hands and test the temperature. A person enters the market alone to avoid overcrowding.
