{"id":41333,"date":"2020-05-07T14:59:33","date_gmt":"2020-05-07T14:59:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/heavy-rains-kill-eight-in-gakenke\/"},"modified":"2020-05-07T14:59:24","modified_gmt":"2020-05-07T14:59:24","slug":"heavy-rains-kill-eight-in-gakenke","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/heavy-rains-kill-eight-in-gakenke\/","title":{"rendered":"Heavy rains kill eight in Gakenke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The unusual rain began to fall on Wednesday afternoon, continuing to fall until Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor of Gakenke District, Nzamwita D\u00e9ogratias, said some of the dead were victims of floods that invaded and washed down houses that collapsed on them. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Many of the roads have been damaged including Kigali-Musanze road where Buranga and Kivuruga roads are closed.
