{"id":40793,"date":"2020-02-04T11:14:19","date_gmt":"2020-02-04T11:14:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/heavy-rains-claim-thirteen-lives\/"},"modified":"2020-02-07T17:11:29","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T17:11:29","slug":"heavy-rains-claim-thirteen-lives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/heavy-rains-claim-thirteen-lives\/","title":{"rendered":"Heavy rains claim thirteen lives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MINEMA says the rain was characterized by hailstorms, lightning, and hailstones which largely led to loss of lives and property.<\/p>\n<p>Most damages were identified in Kicukiro and Gatsibo districts. <\/p>\n<p>In Gasabo district, a house collapsed and swept away by floods, killing all seven members of the household, but by press time only four bodies had been recovered. <\/p>\n<p>One person in Rulindo was struck by lightning and is in critical condition.
