Humura Elvin from Wisdom School in Musanze was the best performing pupil nationwide followed by Niyubahwe Uwacu Annick from Nyamata Bright School and Mutayomba Vanessa from Kigali Parents School.<\/p>\n

In the Ordinary Level, 115, 417 students sat for the National Examinations including 62,209 girls counting for 54% of the total and boys counting for 45.6%. 10, 451 students succeeded with distinction including 6132 boys and 4319 girls.<\/p>\n

Mucyo Salvi from Ecole des Sciences Byimana was the highest performing Ordinary Level student followed by Gashugi Adeline from Lyc\u00e9e Notre Dame de Citeaux and Uwimbabazi Alliance from FAWE Girls School.<\/p>\n

In TTCs, 4251 students sat for the examinations with 25.7 % succeeding with distinction.<\/p>\n

Epreve Joselyne from TTC Rusizi led the race followed by Nishimwe Esrom from TTC Mururu in Rusizi district as well and Igiraneza Divine from TTC Mwezi in Nyamasheke district.<\/p>\n

The most performing TTCs students were from Rusizi and Nyamasheke districts. They were rewarded with laptops to promote technology.<\/p>\n

Dr. Isaac Munyakazi, Minister of State in Charge of Primary and Secondary Education thanked teachers, parents and students for their combined efforts in improving education. <\/p>\n

“Many classrooms are under construction across the country, we are training more teachers and we have allocated a larger portion of the National Budget to education. However, education is a journey that requires joint efforts to achieve the goals we have set.”<\/p>\n

He urged parents of children who did not perform well in National Examinations to follow up with them closely and see how that can be rectified.<\/p>\n

For checking National Examinations results, students will log in to www.reb.rw, click on ‘view results’, use their index numbers and names and follow instructions. They can also use mobile phones by writing ‘S3’ for Ordinary Level or ‘P6’ for Primary Schools followed by their index numbers and send the message on 4891<\/p>\n

The academic year for 2020 will start on January, 6th. Those who have received National Examinations results have two weeks to prepare for school since school will start on January, 13th.<\/p>\n

National Examinations Results were released simultaneously with schools children have been assigned to. Students are required to reach their schools not later than January 11th, 2020.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Education has released National Examination results for primary schools, Ordinary Level and Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) where among the 286,721 primary school pupils, 10700 (3.8%) succeeded with distinction.
