{"id":40301,"date":"2019-11-02T15:08:36","date_gmt":"2019-11-02T15:08:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/ti-rwanda-to-follow-up-us-32-million\/"},"modified":"2019-11-06T08:46:14","modified_gmt":"2019-11-06T08:46:14","slug":"ti-rwanda-to-follow-up-us-32-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/ti-rwanda-to-follow-up-us-32-million\/","title":{"rendered":"TI-Rwanda to follow up US$32 million environmental conservation project in Gicumbi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The five-year project will be implemented in six sectors including Rubaya, Cyumba, Kaniga, Mukarange, Rushaki, and Shangasha. <\/p>\n<p>TI-Rwanda&#8217;s research carried out in 2017 indicates that climate change resilience projects were stalled by a lack of citizens&#8217; inclusiveness and local leaders\u2019 participation.  <\/p>\n<p>The executive secretary of TI Rwanda, Mupiganyi Apolinaire explained that 55.5% of residents were not aware of such projects while 40.4% of local leaders were not consulted for participation or understand the feasibility of such projects.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe identified challenges in different projects like biogas among other environment-friendly projects.
