{"id":39554,"date":"2019-06-23T15:35:33","date_gmt":"2019-06-23T15:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/47-new-park-rangers-graduate\/"},"modified":"2019-06-23T15:35:21","modified_gmt":"2019-06-23T15:35:21","slug":"47-new-park-rangers-graduate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/47-new-park-rangers-graduate\/","title":{"rendered":"47 new park rangers graduate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ceremony took place in the Akagera National Park.<\/p>\n<p>The rangers underwent a six-week training course where they were taught different measures to observe the parks and fight poaching.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking after the passing out parade, RDB Conservation Analyst, Telesphore Ngoga explained that the skills and discipline the rangers have acquired during this exercise is another step in our conservation efforts.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cWith continued conservation, the country earns tourism revenues sustainably which benefits the Rwandan economy. It is my hope that these new rangers go on to become champions of conservation by working together to become the managers of these habitats,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>Jes Gruner, the Akagera National Park Manager said that conservation is one of Rwanda\u2019s key prerogatives because it supports tourism and \u2018all of the rangers here are part of that vision\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c They are the first people who protect our environment.
