His defense lawyer, Moise Nkundabarashi has said that Sankara\u2019s accusations will be communicated soon. <\/p>\n
Commenting on his defense for Sankara, Nkundabarashi said: \u201cI was chosen by my client. As lawyers we have laws protecting us as we represent suspects, so saying that some lawyers refused to represent him is their choice,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
The arrest of Sankara was announced on 30th April 2019 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Richard Sezibera in a press conference. Minister Sezibera announced that \u2018in collaboration with others, Maj. Sankara was returned to Rwanda and will be taken to court. Others intending to destabilize Rwanda\u2019s security will be held accountable\u2019.<\/p>\n
Sankara has been claiming to be behind attacks during which Rwandans were killed and to have conquered Nyungwe Forest National park. He also claimed on radios that what he did is not enough. <\/p>\n
