{{National Commission Responsible for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG) has decided to keep records of Gacaca courts into a historical archive.}}<\/p>\n
“We have undertaken a program responsible for collecting and maintaining all records of Gacaca to be an archive of the genocide,” said Jean de Dieu Mucyo Executive Secretary of the CNLG, in an interview with the press.<\/p>\n
The program covers all records relating to Gacaca: writings, images, photos and testimonies.<\/p>\n
And also includes the charge sheets, DVDs and other testimonials,
\nAlready, more than 18 000 folders containing files have already been prepared. These cases come from allover the country.<\/p>\n
They are divided into sectors or functions of district of origin with labels allowing visitors to easily find the information they seek.<\/p>\n
Mr. Mucyo appealed to all those who still hold documents relating to Gacaca Courts to deliver them to CNLG.<\/p>\n
They can call 35 60 or 3561, a free telephone line established by CNLG.<\/p>\n
The Executive Secretary of CNLG took the opportunity to announce that preparations for the commemoration of the 19th anniversary of the genocide against the Tutsis will begin soon.<\/p>\n
