{"id":39083,"date":"2019-04-02T18:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-02T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kizito-mihigo-releases-song-on-bravery-of\/"},"modified":"2019-04-03T10:28:37","modified_gmt":"2019-04-03T10:28:37","slug":"kizito-mihigo-releases-song-on-bravery-of","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kizito-mihigo-releases-song-on-bravery-of\/","title":{"rendered":"Kizito Mihigo releases song on bravery of genocide survivors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new song follows another released recently called \u2018Abarinzi b\u2019amateka\u201d carrying the message of commemoration, fighting against trivialization and denial of the Genocide against Tutsi. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cKubabarira ntibivuga kwibagirwa\u201d becomes the sixth song released since Kizito Mihigo was released from presidential commutation adding to songs like \u201cAho kuguhomba yaguhombya\u201d, \u201cUzabe intwari\u201d and \u201cVive le pardon\u201d among others. <\/p>\n<p>The chorus of the new song reads: \u201cWe, Genocide survivors are never extinguished even though our sorrow still remains, there emerged bravery and energy and we are happy to work with our fellow citizens in rebuilding our Rwanda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to IGIHE, Kizito Mihigo said the song appreciates efforts of genocide survivors who don\u2019t get sunk into sorrow over the past 25 years after the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter the Genocide against Tutsi, there are survivors who had positive anger, who didn\u2019t sink into sorrow but took bravery and energy for their interests and the country in general.
