{"id":38830,"date":"2019-02-06T12:45:43","date_gmt":"2019-02-06T12:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/gisagara-peat-power-plant-project-1st-phase-75\/"},"modified":"2019-02-06T12:39:34","modified_gmt":"2019-02-06T12:39:34","slug":"gisagara-peat-power-plant-project-1st-phase-75","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/gisagara-peat-power-plant-project-1st-phase-75\/","title":{"rendered":"Gisagara peat power plant project 1st phase 75% complete"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Constructed by Quantum Power, a Turkish company, the $350 million power peat project constructed in Mamba Sector of Gisagara District is expected to be the source of the 80MW when completed in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The construction works of Gisagara peat power plant started in May 2017 and it is expected to generate power by March 2020 according to Shaun Moore, the project Manager.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe construction of the power plant is at almost 75%. We have employed 915 workers of whom 800 are residents of this area employed in works, machine operations, car driving and security among other works.
