{"id":38529,"date":"2018-11-20T11:54:00","date_gmt":"2018-11-20T11:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/bralirwa-to-brew-heineken-beer-locally\/"},"modified":"2018-11-20T12:25:30","modified_gmt":"2018-11-20T12:25:30","slug":"bralirwa-to-brew-heineken-beer-locally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/bralirwa-to-brew-heineken-beer-locally\/","title":{"rendered":"Bralirwa to brew Heineken beer locally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The development was announced Monday, making Rwanda the 9th African country producing, packing and selling Heineken locally alongside other markets including Nigeria, Namibia, South Africa, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, and Ethiopia. <\/p>\n<p>According to a statement from Bralirwa Plc, the award of a license to produce Heineken in Rwanda is a significant sign of trust by HEINEKEN NV, a company which has always been focused on the \u2018Value Passion for Quality.\u2019    <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe local production of Heineken beer can be viewed as the latest milestone in the development of Bralirwa Plc as a world-class company,\u201d reads the statement in part.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHeineken local production is the result of many years of successful investments in world-class brewery equipment, expert and brews master knowledge. Heineken produced in Rwanda will importantly maintain the same international quality standards of the brand and given local production will have an even fresher taste,\u201d adds the statement. <\/p>\n<p>Bralirwa has been importing from the Netherlands since 1991. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHeineken will now taste as fresher as you were drinking it in a bar at Amsterdam,\u201d said Sander Bokelman, the Supply Chain Director at Bralirwa Plc. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that this innovation will create additional business opportunities for Bralirwa Plc and for our business partners in Rwanda as well as through export to neighboring countries. Additionally, this is another contribution by Bralirwa Plc to the Made in Rwanda program which every Rwandan can be proud of.
