Following the four successful editions of Transform Africa, the fifth Transform Africa Summit will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 7 – 10 May 2019 under the theme \u201cBoosting Africa\u2019s Digital Economy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Transform Africa 2019 will be held at Kigali Convention Centre and will bring together over 4000 participants including different Heads of States and Governments, private business people, international organizations to discuss how to accelerate Africa\u2019s ICT driven economy.<\/p>\n
As Transform Africa Summit 2019 activities were officially launched on Friday, October 9, 2018, the Executive Director of Smart Africa Alliance that partners with Rwanda to organize the Summit said the fifth edition of the Summit will focus on Africa\u2019s digital-driven economy.<\/p>\n
Dr. Hamadun Toure said digital innovations by Africans are a pillar of Africa\u2019s digital-driven economy and will be showcased and sponsored so that they play a role in creating new jobs for the youth.<\/p>\n
\u201cSomething important in the summit will be Africa\u2019s digital innovations. They will be exhibited because we want Africa to be a digital innovation continent. Giving our youths chances to innovate will enable our continent to reach the economic level we need,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Dr.Tour\u00e9 stated that \u201cSmart Africa means business. We are here to assure you that every minute and every dollar you invest brings returns in multiple ways.\u201d<\/p>\n
Transform Africa 2019 will be preceded by Africa\u2019s digital-driven economy Summit which will discuss trade, job creation, digital money transactions, infrastructure, industrial development, ICT in agriculture and health services and women inclusion in ICT.<\/p>\n
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of ICT AND Innovation, Claudette Irere said “Boosting Africa’s digital economy will support not only the region but the continent to become a more deeply integrated and dynamic digital investment and innovation growth hub.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cTransform Africa Summit (TAS) has not only provided a platform for African businesses and startups to prosper but has taken the frontier when it comes to empowering Africa’s youth,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
