Those who used to share drinking water with domestic animals have built their public drinking water faucet worth over Rwf400,000.<\/p>\n
Bugarura Cell leader Alphonse Nshimiyimana says that the construction of the public water facility came after approximately 116 households living in the village shared ideas and agreed that each household would have to contribute some money and provide labor during communal activities.<\/p>\n
Nshimiyimana said that formerly, the water spring in the village harbored dirty waters shared with wandering domestic animals, making it risky for human consumption. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur cell is comprised of 116 households. We calculated and estimated that each household would have to contribute Rwf4200. Residents raised Rwf 472,200 and bought cement, gravel and other materials including four trips of stones. Some materials were collected through community participation,” he said.<\/p>\n
He added that they collected that money up to Rwf472,200. <\/p>\n
