IGIHE has learned that he has been under arrest for two weeks.<\/p>\n
The current president of FERWACOTAMO, Daniel Ngarambe has announced that Ntaganzwa was arrested after an accounts inspection carried out by Rwanda Cooperatives Agency (RCA).<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was detained after an audit conducted by RCA. He is suspected of embezzling cooperatives funds worth about Rwf200 million,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said that pursuing those suspected of embezzling the motorcycle cooperatives will be a lesson to others who plan to do it.<\/p>\n
About Rwf70 million of the money previously embezzled has been recovered. <\/p>\n
Mismanagement of motorcycle cooperatives\u2019 funds started coming to light in 2017, prompting RCA to inspect their accounts records and bringing to book those suspected of wrongdoing.
