The Ambassador of Israel to Rwanda with residence in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Raphael Morav who carried out an official visit to Rwanda announced the discussions he had with the CEO of RwandAir, were about opening RwandAir\u2019s regular service to Tel Aviv next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always a pleasure and privilege to meet with Yvonne Makolo, the CEO of RwandAir for discussion on opening next year a regular service to Tel Aviv,\u2019\u2019 Ambassador Morav tweeted.<\/p>\n

In August this year, when the Ministry of Infrastructure signed the performance contracts for the 2018\/19 fiscal year with public institutions affiliated to it, RwandAir which also operates under the Office of the Ministry announced it would open new routes including the Tel Aviv route in Israel. <\/p>\n

Among the routes, the national carrier pledged to open are Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, Guinea, Guangzhou in China, New York and Tel Aviv in Israel.<\/p>\n

The opening of the new routes will see RwandAir have 31 destinations with a projected increase in the number of passengers from 926 571 as of July 2018 to 1,151,3000 in 2019.
\nThe Ambassador said he was honored to be the first ambassador to meet with Minister, Dr. Richard Sezibera who was recently appointed as Rwanda\u2019s Foreign Affairs Minister replacing Louise Mushikiwabo who was elected Secretary General of the International Organization of la Francophonie (OIF). <\/p>\n

The Office of Rwanda\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Minister Sezibera and Ambassador \u201cdiscussed Rwanda and Israel bilateral relations, the process of opening the Embassy of Israel in Kigali.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is slated the Israel Embassy in Kigali will open next year though the official date of the opening has not yet announced. <\/p>\n

In his visit to Rwanda, Ambassador Morav met different other officials including the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Dr. Geraldine Mukeshimana and the CEO of Rwanda Development Board (RDB), Clare Akamanzi with whom they had a \u201cuseful discussion on Israeli investments in Rwanda, cooperation in IT and innovation and eventual visit to Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n
