{"id":38122,"date":"2018-09-04T08:43:06","date_gmt":"2018-09-04T08:43:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rpf-leads-in-parliamentary-preliminary-results-no\/"},"modified":"2018-09-05T17:52:42","modified_gmt":"2018-09-05T17:52:42","slug":"rpf-leads-in-parliamentary-preliminary-results-no","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rpf-leads-in-parliamentary-preliminary-results-no\/","title":{"rendered":"RPF leads in parliamentary preliminary results, no seat for opposition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two opposition parties namely Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR) and PS-Imberakuri failed to secure 5% required for a seat.<\/p>\n<p>All four independent candidates scored below 1% as PSD and PL won 8.5% and 7% respectively, in the preliminary results announced last night by the National Electoral Commission (NEC).<\/p>\n<p>NEC President Prof. Kalisa Mbanda said DGPR and PS Imberakuri tied at 4.5% each.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll four independent candidates have fewer votes than required for them to enter the parliament.
