{"id":38072,"date":"2018-08-24T16:30:00","date_gmt":"2018-08-24T16:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/ngoma-to-acquire-first-ever-hotel\/"},"modified":"2018-08-25T12:53:13","modified_gmt":"2018-08-25T12:53:13","slug":"ngoma-to-acquire-first-ever-hotel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/ngoma-to-acquire-first-ever-hotel\/","title":{"rendered":"Ngoma to acquire first ever hotel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Rwf3.5 billion hotel is expected to respond to the problem of the district\u2019s visitors who have been going to neighbouring districts for accommodation.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel\u2019s construction started five years ago. <\/p>\n<p>It is part of the pledges that President Paul Kagame made in the district in 2010. He had also promised a football stadium which is under construction as well.<\/p>\n<p>Ngoma District\u2019s Mayor Aphrodis Nambaje has told IGIHE that their visitors will no longer suffer lack of hotel services in a few months ahead.<\/p>\n<p>He said the district will hand over the hotel to private investors upon its completion.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis hotel will also earn the district with money to invest in other development projects and infrastructure,\u201d he said.  <\/p>\n<p>The district\u2019s resident Yves Hakizimana says the hotel should also benefit farmers in the area. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe grow fruits, bananas and more. This hotel will give us a market for our produces,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The farmer said the hotel is also expected to give jobs to youth and other categories and urged the district\u2019s leaders to give preference to its residents in recruitment.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel covers 2.5 hectares.
