{"id":38052,"date":"2018-08-22T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-08-22T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/obituary-parliamentary-candidate-dusabinema\/"},"modified":"2018-08-22T11:24:08","modified_gmt":"2018-08-22T11:24:08","slug":"obituary-parliamentary-candidate-dusabinema","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/obituary-parliamentary-candidate-dusabinema\/","title":{"rendered":"Obituary: Parliamentary candidate Dusabinema passes on"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>She was director of Kibingo Health Centre in Rutsiro District until she died on Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>Dusabinema was among 179 candidates vying for 24 women\u2019s seats equivalent to 30% of the 80-seat parliament.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 30% is provided by the 2003 Constitution amended in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>It is reported that she had hypertension but the complication had eased for long before her death.<\/p>\n<p>Rutsiro District Mayor Em\u00e9rence Ayinkamiye told IGIHE yesterday that Dusabinema got in critical conditions Monday around 10 pm from her home and died on the way to hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Ayinkamiye said the district has lost an important leader in addition to having been a candidate for the Lower House.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; She had been suffering from high blood pressure but doctors told us it had eased for long. Her death was really abrupt,\u201d said the mayor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was a hard worker. Her health centre was always number one in delivery in the district. We have lost an important servant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dusabinema had been in campaigns for a seat in parliament.
