{"id":37892,"date":"2018-07-20T22:13:14","date_gmt":"2018-07-20T22:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwanda-mozambique-sign-visa-waiver-agreement\/"},"modified":"2018-07-24T10:14:29","modified_gmt":"2018-07-24T10:14:29","slug":"rwanda-mozambique-sign-visa-waiver-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwanda-mozambique-sign-visa-waiver-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwanda, Mozambique sign visa waiver agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The agreements were signed Friday when President Paul Kagame was receiving his Mozambican counterpart, Filipe Nyusi in one-on-one bilateral talks at the presidential palace, Village Urugwiro.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Office of the President, other bilateral agreements signed include the establishment of a joint permanent commission, air service, science and technology, higher education and professional training.<\/p>\n<p>They also signed a memorandum of understanding between Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p>After the bilateral talks, both Heads of State held a joint press conference in which Kagame said there is partnership and cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>He said that people of Rwanda and Mozambique share a lot and have similar aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have had similarities in our history as earlier referred to, liberating our people and countries; these experiences are better in complementary manner, there are similarities and differences, but, if all brought together each side learns one thing or two, more than they had in their own experiences,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, when we are talking about the liberation of our people and countries, the very big part of that is social and economic transformation that we seek to carry out in the context of good political management of our countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kagame said that along the process, both countries share the experiences in supporting private sector so that they lead the economic progress desired for both countries\u2019 people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is all offered in that framework of partnership that we witnessed in the bilateral agreement.
