{"id":37763,"date":"2018-06-25T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-25T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/made-in-rwanda-s-best-awarded\/"},"modified":"2018-06-26T09:31:36","modified_gmt":"2018-06-26T09:31:36","slug":"made-in-rwanda-s-best-awarded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/made-in-rwanda-s-best-awarded\/","title":{"rendered":"Made-In-Rwanda&#8217;s Best Awarded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Made-In-Rwanda&#8217;s best and brightest gathered at Onomo Hotel to receive awards in an event organized by East African Youth Development Agency in a bid to recognize individuals, companies and institutions that have contributed to the country\u2019s economic growth by creating and promoting Rwanda\u2019s domestic products, both locally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The awards were given out in ten competitive categories, with five special recognition awards for Lifestyle, Fashion, and Innovation.<\/p>\n<p>During the selection, 60% of votes were from the net while the remaining 40% were to be given by a special panel of judges. Another category was the people\u2019s Choice, which involved a person who was voted most from the public. <\/p>\n<p>Notable public figures from entertainment and media were found at the event. Yannick Mukunzi, a player from Rayon Sports was awarded as \u2018Best Fashionable Male Celebrity, Songbird Knowless Butera was awarded as \u2018Best Fashionable Female Celebrity\u2019 while DJ Pius was awarded for making the &#8216;Fashionable music video of the year&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Kamanzi Uwizera Gloria who spoke in the name of the organizers said that the event was organized in a way of encouraging the young &#038; creative minds of Rwanda, and use the event as an opportunity to promote Rwanda\u2019s products, both locally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Made-in-Rwanda awards will be an annual event, as a way of expressing gratitude towards those who promote \u2018Made-In-Rwanda\u2019 products.\u201d Kamanzi Uwizera Gloria said<\/p>\n<p>{{2018 Made-in-Rwanda Awards winners<br \/>\n}}<\/p>\n<p>Best Fashionable Female Celebrity: Knowless Butera <\/p>\n<p>Best Fashionable Male Celebrity: Yannick Mukunzi<\/p>\n<p>Best Fashion Video: \u201cWabulilawa\u201d- DJ Pius <\/p>\n<p>Best Female Model: Djazira Munyaneza <\/p>\n<p>Best Male Model: Sekamana Eric <\/p>\n<p>Best Creative Fashion Designer: Tanga Designs <\/p>\n<p>Best Local Fashion House: Moshions <\/p>\n<p>People\u2019s Choice: Makeup artist &#8211;
